Body: - physically tired, ready to sleep at a reasonable hour - stomach is satiated and not bloated - no headache - leg muscles are a little sore from a long run or a strength work out - no sugar highs/crashes - no caffeine jitters - calm and controlled
Those workouts are challenging enough for a lot of people even with only 5 lb weights. By the end my arms were killing me and it really was a good arm workout. I was working hard, and just because the weights weren't 20-30 lb + it doesn't mean it isn't challenging. They also said that you can use whatever weights you wanted, but those were what they were using.
of course you work at whatever challenges you…everyone is different, no doubt. i respect that, i honestly do :) i meant no harm or disrespect… but if you are able to do 3 sets you really should increase the weight… you aren’t challenging your body as much as you think you are. and workouts are NEVER “supposed” to be ANYTHING…. as soon as you limit what you’re going to be doing or how you’re going to do it you have already stopped your progress.
